This makes me so glad we figured out that our 7 year old was being bullied by his own teacher and that we were able to rectify the situation.

No one should have to live like this their entire school career!

Keeping my mind on track…

Having just taken time to reply to Perimenopausal Ponderings‘ latest post, it got me think about what goes through my head when I do finally find the time and uninterrupted space to meditate. Her question was about the types of crutches we use to get us through the day. Mine is meditating or gin!

I’ve given up expecting the dog and my family to work it out for themselves that me, sitting quietly with my eyes shut, headphones on, deep breathing, is me meditating. The preparation for those ten short minutes is almost a ritual in itself.

It starts with me giving the dog some cuddles, declaring my intention to have ten minutes, grabbing the headphones and getting comfortable. With my Mums Radar switched to quiet mode, I fire up my meditation app and chose a session from a pack I’ve loaded earlier or go with the daily offering.

Full Moon July 2018

TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE
*Full Moon* in AquariusWhat is the salve that will soothe
our wounds and calm our beating heart?The Mother.
The great Mother of the Universe.
The Mother of Creation, The Mother of us all.
The Mother, the Mother, the Mother.We turn towards Great Mother Energy
and it is her energy that heals us.
It is her love that soothes us.
It is She who brings us into her bosom
and reminds us that we are not forgotten.
That we are not forsaken. That we are loved by her.
That she sees us and knows who we are.
That she holds us through and through.

This is the message that comes through.
This is the message that resonates
throughout the cosmos.

Yes, the intensity we are feeling
is real, but we are not
here to amplify that.

Let’s instead invoke the healing
Mother energy in the world
and allow it to nurture us
on the deepest levels.

Allow her energy to flow into our heart,
soothe our muscles and nervous system,
cleanse and purify our minds,
and calm our beating hearts.

“What the world needs now

There is so much bubbling up from the depths
with a particular focus on the shadow side

through space and time,

Behold . . . Madonna

This woman and her music
have been with me for so much of my life.

Through my turbulent teens as I learned what a woman could be, and do. Madonna, along with my mother, taught me to think for myself. Madonna did everything she wasn’t supposed to do and became one of my most important role models.

I held her on a pedestal in my head even while busy being a battered wife. She was one of the voices who kept saying I shouldn’t have to live like that. She was one of the women who taught by example, the strength that women could be. Midway through my twenties, I left that marriage and rejected abusers ever after. Whether anyone understands or not. I care not.

This woman’s music accompanied me through workouts spanning thirty years.

Three little boys have grown up listening to the same lyrics and seeing Elvis worthy…
