taken from Rededication to Sekhmet, by www.netersekhmet.com.

O SEKHMET, DESTROYER OF THE INESSENTIAL,
Cleanse from me all which hinders the broadening of my experience,
my tolerance, and my generosity of heart.
REVEAL THE SEED OF BRIGHTNESS,
Uncover my Heart’s Desire,
And bring that silence of peace
In which its voice I may hear.
O SUN, LIGHT THIS DARKENED HOUSE
Devour with your rays the pride of my ignorance
Clear away all obstacles in my path,
And with Beauty inspire me on my Way.
O, TERRIBLE! O, IRRESISTIBLE!
PRAISE UNTO SEKHMET THE MIGHTY!
And woe unto him who would make War upon Her,
For even the greatest is subdued by Her Love
And the World overwhelmed with the children of Her Victories!

Why do you write prayers to Sekhmet? Do you have visions of her? I’m sorry, I’m just curious.

I don’t mean to be rude or anything… I was asking because I see her in my dreams sometimes, but that’s probably my overactive subconscious mind playing around.

Oh I didn’t write this, I pulled it from a website/blog that looks like it is no longer in use. I wish I wrote that!

and no apologies, you are so lucky! I wish I had visions of her! I found this when I was looking for offerings, etc. to use in a ritual I was going to do..I can’t remember what it was now. Sekhmet is my patron goddess. She is the one I work with when I want assistance with spiritual matters. Her, the angel Galagaliel, Archangel Michael and Raphael … eclectic group. I have suspicions she and Galgaliel may be derived from same energy … they both specialize in breaking through barriers, and such. Both of them are symbolized by the Blood stone.
What are your visions? That is so cool! She is probably your patron goddess too, or a guide of yours or something. Very strong energy.

My visions of her were nothing special. She just nodded, in greeting i guess, as she passed me by.

That’s interesting. Wonder what that was about.
